STYLE NO. 2943 : Harvester

Style no. 2943 is part of our Harvester collection, a series of 8-inch boots modeled after one of the most popular boots in our storied history. Built with rich Amber Harness leather, speed hooks and a classic construction the Harvester adds a timeless touch to any outfit.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

The Harvester is based on one of Red Wing’s most successful products in the 1930’s. Popular in both the harvest field and mining sections of the country, the Harvester helped growing the fundamentals of a nation. The 8-inch lace-up boot comes with traditional speed hooks and is available in Amber Harness and Black Harness.

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 108+ year history.

STYLE NO. 2943 : Harvester

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the Full Grain Leather upper, Leather footboard and Cork Midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.

The 2943 is built using the No. 8 Last:

  • Features a bump toe for more room up-front

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot I've put on my feet This boot is literally everything I could ask for. 8" boot that had zero break-in time involved, immediately comfortable, sturdy, amazingly built, still comfortable after almost 3 years and still look just about like new. I just keep them oiled with the Red Wing mink oil. I wear them every single day and I usually only take them off to go to bed. If it wasn't weird, I'd probably sleep in them. These boots are not clunky at all so it's not like you're wearing a concrete block on your foot. They fit perfectly. The only thing I suggest is one of the Red Wing insoles. Makes them even more comfortable. I have a few other pair of higher end boots that were outsourced for construction that don't hold a candle to these made in America boots. I do wish the Harvester was easier to find in America though. But once I did, man was I happy. These boots are the best. True to size. Long lasting. And they just look freaking awesome. Do yourself a favor and buy them.

I pair these boots with my levis jeans cuffed of course to show how beautiful and rugged these boots are. Love my RW 8 inch black harness boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This style should be made available worldwide I especially like 8" lace-up boots and had to get this pair from UK. They are basic and timeless and can match with just about anything, dressing up and down. By the way, I would have chosen a EE if it's available but no, they only have D, which is from what I heard a bit too narrow for a lot of Asians. I got this pair true to size because it's too narrow if I size down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product should be full time in the US I special ordered a pair of these through my local store, since they are not available in the U.S. I prefer higher boots for work. These run small and are a little tight at first. After a break in period, these boots have become very comfortable and have a nice patina. I wear them every day in a labor work environment and they preform very well. I would buy these boots again in a heart beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best looking boots out there! Got these shipped from UK back to the states where they were made... Why on earth aren't these available in the US? And I live 30 min. outside Red Wing MN. These are awesome looking boots, good fit, maybe a little narrow for D but I'll see how they feel after I break them in. 8" vs 6" in my other boots (Iron Rangers & Blacksmith) really make the difference, speed hooks let you lace them up faster than 6". Would I recommend these to a friend? Absolutely. Best pair of boots I've ever owned.
