STYLE NO. 3362 : Silversmith

The Silversmith was inspired by the men's Blacksmith, including the Vibram® 430 Mini-lug outsole, the clean toe, and simple construction. It shares a last with our Iron Ranger for the same fit and comfort but the extra height of the shaft protects ankles from any stray embers in the workshop or by the camp fire. The 3362 features premium Red Wing Copper Rough & Tough leather.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

Versatile and reliable, this style of shoe was originally used in farm fields and blacksmith workshops during the day before being cleaned and shined up for a night out on the town. The extra height of this 7-inch style, which would have protected feet and ankles from hot cinders at the forge, still keeps out snow in the winter and dirt in the summer, and its last-built construction keeps feet comfortable even after long hours of work.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 108+ year history.

STYLE NO. 3362 : Silversmith

A new pair of Red Wing Women's Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. The full grain leather upper, leather covered foam footboard and cork inlay create an enduring and customized fit over time, with each wear.

The 3362 is built using the No. 106 Last:

  • Based on one of our oldest lasts, the no. 8 last
  • Slightly modified for a better fit and sleeker feel for women
  • Timeless round toe shape gives the character to many of our most popular boots
