Can the Red Wing Repair Shop repair any brand of boot?
No, we only repair boots made by Red Wing Shoe Company. These brands include Red Wing, WORX and Irish Setter.
Can all Red Wing boots be repaired?
All Red Wing Heritage boots are constructed in a manner that allows them to be repaired, pending any excessive wear and tear. Due to the construction methods used, not all Red Wing work boots, WORX or Irish Setter boots can be resoled. Please contact the Red Wing Repair Shop for specific questions about your style of boot. How can I tell if my boots can be repaired?
Boots with cracked insoles, torn leather uppers or worn through linings usually cannot be repaired. If you are unsure if your boots can be repaired, call the Red Wing Repair Shop or bring them to a Red Wing Store.
Can the Red Wing Repair Shop fix my boots if I’ve had them repaired by another repair shop?
There are cases where we cannot repair boots that have been repaired by another shoe repair shop due to the way they repaired the boots. It’s best to call or e-mail our repair shop with specific questions.
How should I ship my boots to Red Wing Repair Shop?
Please remove any laces, footbeds (if used) and other personal items before sending your boots in to our repair shop. We will not return any of these items.
What happens if my boots cannot be repaired after I’ve sent them in?
If your boots cannot be repaired, you will receive a call from our repair shop letting you know the reason(s) they can’t be repaired.
Will you tell me when my boots have been received by the repair shop?
If you provide an email address on the repair form, we will send you an e-mail confirming that we have received your boots.
How long will it take to get my boots back from the repair shop?
You can expect to receive your boots in approximately 3-4 weeks. Please allow more time for more extensive repairs.
