STYLE NO. 3393 : Harriet

The 3393 Harriet is made from our Honey Chinook nubuck leather using three-quarter Goodyear welt construction and a stacked leather heel. A full leather outsole is durable under foot with an element of refinement.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

What was first called a “Romeo” boot is more commonly known as a Chelsea, distinguished by its elastic side goring for easy on and off. We’ve long made this style for men and our more feminine take is called the Harriet. For women, we’ve tapered the silhouette and given the boot a stacked leather heel for unmatched versatility.

Nubuck leather is a full grain leather with a buffed top surface. Nubuck leather is a full grain leather with a buffed top surface.

Nubuck Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. Nubuck leather is a full grain leather with a buffed top surface that results in a fine gauge nap on the grain side (top surface) of the leather. This step of buffing the grain-side leaves the leather surface with a plush, velvety feel. Nubuck’s full grain leather characteristics maintain the same strength and durability as Oil tanned, Smooth Finished, and Roughout leathers.

STYLE NO. 3393 : Harriet

A new pair of Red Wing Women's Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. The full grain leather upper, leather covered foam footboard and cork inlay create an enduring and customized fit over time, with each wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE my Harriets! I was so excited to get these! The leather is stiff but the boot is very high quality. I wore tall, thick socks that I folded down so I had no ankle irritation. I've had boots I had to break in before, but I did have to have help with these, the store graciously helped me with that, but I'm so glad I stuck with the break-in process! The store did say that I would have to be patient with them! They are now very comfortable and I look forward to getting another pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot overall The boot now that it's broken in kinda still at the moment getting use to it fits great. Being that it is my first pair of red wing boots from the heritage line I expected the leather quality to be top notch and it is definitely true as in the first time you try them they will be very stiff especially in the top region of the boot. The top of the boot had to take some getting use to being that it was so stiff it started to dig into my ankle just a little but I was able to deal with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but uncomfortable. Fell in love with these boots the moment I saw that there was the women's line finally available - I bought them not long after they were released almost a year ago. I was very excited... Red Wing is known for it's quality and the price is fair for said quality. I had saved up my pennies, bought them and wore them almost daily for a couple of months. I loved them at first, ignoring some flaws - slightly too wide and the slightest slip in the heel. It wasn't enough to merit sizing down but it was still a bit noticeable. While they were more comfortable than a lot of other shoes I've tried on with stiff, thick leather, I did find them a bit heavy and I noticed after some time that no matter what socks I wore, they'd scrunch down and the top part of the shoe would brush on my ankle and it eventually left a black line from it brushing against and wearing into my skin. I kept wearing them because I really did want to love them but I found the top constantly irritating my skin. The line wouldn't go away with anything, and eventually I had to stop wearing the boots for my skin to normalize. It's now been months since I've worn them and feel like they may have been a waste of my money and have regrets over purchasing them. It's a shame because I really did want to love them because they are beautiful - just not the most practical or comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I work for a shoe store and I love these boots. I can wear them 8 hours a day with no pain. I will say they are a little wide in the back with a touch of extra slip in the heel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality boots The best boots I've ever bought and my first Red Wing purchase. I bought them in my usual size, but they were so so tight everywhere except the toes, I thought it was a huge mistake. I knew they had to be broken in so I wore slightly thicker than usual socks to speed up the process. It took me 3-4 full day wears to get it perfect and go back to my normal socks. I'm so glad I didn't exchange them for a bigger size. The leather is thick with no give at first, but it'll soften with time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing comfort, style AND quality I have a wide foot, and this pair fits perfectly! It was just enough room, which is great because I'm used to shoes always fitting tighter. I know they'll give a little with time because it's quality leather. I'm the kind of person who thinks anything taller than 0.5" is a high heel, so this height is surprisingly comfortable for me. I think the fact that it's stacked leather vs plastic or wood makes a huge difference. Not much of a break-in required either. I walked around in these boots in the city for over 3 miles (verified by my steps app), and had minimal soreness and no blisters. The leather is soft enough to be comfortable from the first wear. I have gotten so many compliments and have only had these for a few weeks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style and comfort all in one!! I got these boots for Christmas. I was thinking they would take a while to break them in. Boy was I wrong...comfortable the second I put them on! I have had so many complements on them too. I have a wide foot so I just got a half size bigger, Love my new boots, the only time I wouldn't wear them is with shorts!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I haven't taken them off! Best. Boot. Ever. My first pair of Red Wing Shoes, and I must say I'm hooked. I've had the Harriet boot for a few months and have not taken them off. Not only are they the prettiest boot I've ever seen, they're the most comfortable boot I've ever worn.
