STYLE NO. 1907 : Classic Moc

Modeled after Red Wing’s original work boot style, the 1907 is a 6-Inch Moc Toe featuring Copper Rough & Tough leather, white Traction Tred rubber outsole, Norwegian-like welt, triple stitched quality and leather laces.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

Red Wing’s Classic Work boots were designed and built to withstand the daily rigors of the work day on the farm and in the factory. The lightweight crepe sole featured a minimal tread design to reduce the mud that would cling to a farmer’s boots but still provide the underfoot comfort the work day required. Red Wing would brand the crepe sole as the Traction Tred sole. These classic boots featured a moc toe design. The name came from the word moccasin, the Algonquian Indian word for shoe. This combination of the u-shaped moc toe leather upper and the white crepe sole would become the iconic boot style for the Red Wing brand. It is one of the oldest Red Wing styles and a best-seller.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.

STYLE NO. 1907 : Classic Moc

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the full grain leather upper, leather footboard and cork midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.

The 1907 is built using the No. 45 Last:

  • Most customers buy Red Wing Heritage footwear 1/2 size smaller than their normal size
  • Trying on Red Wing Heritage footwear in a store is recommended to get the perfect fit
  • Includes a footbed that can be removed to fine-tune your fit

Rated 5 out of 5 by The best Red Wing This is my third pair of red wing boots and by far the best. Although my other style boots are the same size the 875 seems to be the best fitting. Obviously as I'm sure you are all aware one needs to size down half to a full size. The sole is also the most comfortable and grippy of all the red wing soles. This is definitely more of a winter boot as they tend to get a bit hot in the summer. One thing I have noticed however is that my pair tend to let water in which I'm pretty sure is a fault. Overall I'm extremely happy with them and they definitely age well. July 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 8880s Great fit! I never saw myself buying anything from the Heritage line. 4439s 11e was the plan, but those aren't stocked in the store. The saleswoman gave me the 10 1/2 875s to try on "for the look" she says. Ever since that fitting, it was too good to pass up. Sorry 4439's I'll be back for you. This moc style and crepe sole can't be beat when it comes to being comfortable and you're not worried the boots being able to make it. These boots are tough for non-steel toe... Just don't take em to work and have your boss nag you like a bored housewife. I will be getting the other colors. Don't discontinue these, please. July 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 8890 v 1907 on width... So these 8890's Charcoal Rough and Toughs just arrived. They are gorgeous as expected. I have and wear daily a similar boot, 1907 Copper Rough and Tough and I love them. I ordered 11D (same as my 1907s) and the length is as expected HOWEVER, the width is fully .25" to .5" narrower than my 1907s. Is this normal anyone else experiencing this? Pic attached. Thanks in advance. July 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 1907 Beautiful boot. I ordered the 1907s half size down and it fits just right. It is a little snug but the leather molds around your foot for a custom fit. Love the crepe soles, very comfortable. The price was a little high but as soon as I received the boot, I realized that it was well worth the price. Quality construction and immediately, I knew it will last me a very long time. It so well built. Buy from an authorized dealer. ( I bought initial boots off EBay and relieved I'll- fitting boots). Luckily, I was able to return them. I then purchased from Red Wings directly and the boots came out of the box perfect. After a month, I did apply the Red Wing Mink Oil and applied it lightly on the boot and heavier at the welts and the seams. It does deepen the color of the leather to a really nice brown. I also sprayed it with the leather protector. I really like how it turned out. Take care of your boots and it will last a lifetime. I wear it as a fashion boot, so I do not know how it stands up in the field etc. but the I can stand in them all day. They look great with jeans, really don't wear them with anything else. Overall, excellent look, quality construction and very comfortable. I recommend spending the extra money and buy these boots. You will not regret it. May 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boots right off the bat They're great, once you get them they'll need to be broken in. You'll also notice that they DONT have any insoles, which makes ZERO sense to me. And You can't just go into Walmart and get any either. You'll have to go into a redwing spot and ask for the ones for this boot or order them online, the insoles need to be thin otherwise your feet will loose circulation. I recommend wearing them for about two months before actually getting the insoles, just to have them all of the way broken in. These are definitely the most comfortable boots I've ever had (once they've broken in) so I recommend them highly. Not only are they good for work, They also look pretty good with a nice pair of jeans. I wear them at least 40 hours a week for work alone, I'm wearing them right now. June 19, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Soles came unglued I'm very disappointed in Redwing after purchasing these boots only five years ago. The souls have come unglued and I don't hardly wear them but a couple times a month for hunting. June 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best things to place your money into Proud owner of 1907 Moc Toe and Iron Rangers 8119. Bought the Mocs in December 2015 loved them so much i had to get myself the Iron Rangers in March. Fitting was a little bit confusing. I do recommend finding a good store because during my searched in Montreal only two stores had hydrated non-scuffed shoes and took pride in the shoes ES2 and MEK(I would recommend MEK). Stay away from places like Browns and The Bay. If you cant find boots your satisfied with try it on for fitting and order from red wing directly. I ended up sizing one size down from my typical 11 running shoe to a 10 in the RW Moc and a 9 1/2 for the Iron Rangers. I had a hard time breaking the in the mocs around the widest part of the toe as well as the ankle. I have warn the boots now maybe 20 times and the boot fits like a glove. I am not a person who spends money easily and for me to spend it on two pairs in less then half a year was a pretty huge deal. I expect to have these shoes for ever and when(if) they run out i do plan on replacing them. I might even buy the blacksmiths, beckman round, weekender and the classic chukkas by December 2016. Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic look, modern craftsmanship I bought these after doing a lot of research. I bought them in store, and glad I did. I went down a full size. After a month now, they are breaking in beautifully. The leather is taking on great character each day. Very comfortable after the first few days. The handmade craftsmanship is something you see and feel, and I catch people looking at them constantly. They pair great with jeans, and even slacks depending on the event. Great for everyday wear. Great investment, and looking forward to getting more. May 3, 2016
