STYLE NO. 9219 : Foreman Chukka

The Foreman Chukka is a lightweight, classic-looking shoe that takes our timeless Chukka design and attaches it to our comfortable neoprene work sole. The 9219 features our premium Copper Rough & Tough leather.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

Traditionally, the foreman is the boss, walking the job site, overseeing quality as he goes. That means a lot of time on his feet and our Foreman Chukka is designed with that in mind. Taking the timeless silhouette of a simple chukka that we’ve made for many years, we fit it with a cushioned neoprene sole for superior shock absorption and traction on varied surfaces.

Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather. Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for Oil-Tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.

STYLE NO. 9219 : Foreman Chukka

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the Full Grain Leather upper, Leather footboard and Cork Midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.

The 9219 is built using the No. 210 Last:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot I've ever owned I purchased these boots at a department store initially, and didn't fall in love with them immediately. They seemed to be a bit loose, as I had purchased them in the size I was fitted for at the store. After an agonizing couple of weeks, I tried stopping into the Red Wing store to see if insoles might help. Long story short, the employee in the store took one look at the shoes and said they looked big on me based on the creases in the leather. He had a half size smaller ordered for me, without delay. I've worn these boots every day since, and working in sales, I'm on my feet quite a bit. I can say that there is no better brand, and the phenomenal customer service will keep me coming back for life. Can't recommend these shoes enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort and soft feel These are easy on the feet and especially over time they've become even more comfortable. The quality is excellent and flawless. I've been using them for my sales work and walking. They have a soft sole that is gentle on my feet. I can polish them for important meetings and they look professional or when I get them muddy on a walk they will clean up beautifully. I ware them almost everyday. I'd highly recommend them. I've purchase cheap brands that don't hold up, or look good and hurt your feet. These quality shoes are durable, good looking and feel good on my feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far Really happy with these so far. Found a pair for a great price a Nordstrom Rack and this was the only pair of boots that felt really solid. Haven't owned any boots or red wing shoes before and am really impressed. Took a day or two to break them in but they are super comfortable right now, even though I'm on my feet for more than half the day. The color and style look great for work or a night on the town. Have kept my feet warm through wet conditions, haven't tested in snow yet. I'm hoping these hold up over time, especially given the price tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding boot. Had this pair for a year now. Stiff at first, but as they broke in, the fit and finish is still outstanding. Hardly shows any wear after wearing 5 days a week for a year. Still looks excellent and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable right out of the box. I knew right after first putting them on that they were keepers. Very well-made, perfect fit, great looking. I'm already thinking about buying a second pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not as good as they used to be i have been buying red wing chukkas for a long while now, probably 6 pairs over the last 10 years.I have found that the last few pairs i have purchased are not as good as the first pair!. The first pair i purchased had an inner lining of thick soft padded leather, now there is just one layer, the sole had separate piece cut the shape of the logo red in colour, and then inserted into the sole.they now have no red wing!i would still purchase these boots as they are still a good product, but there have been cost cutting procedures in the manufacturing of these boots, but this has not been reflected in the price of the boots at retail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy. Pleasantly suprised by looks. I was advised to buy these shoes by my Dr. because I suffer from nuropathy a result from chemo therapy. I checked them out online. I thought they would be very much like a work boot. Very happy with the style. I even had a lady in the grocery store ask where I bought them. Her husband had noticed them but was to shy to ask. I know they will last because I have a pair I bought in college(49 years ago).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile chukka After obsessing over any number of boots to invest in, an unreal price popped up for the 9215 and I couldn't pass it up. At some point, I also accepted that in a style world flooded with 6-inch boots right now, chukkas just still fit my personal style. The right boot for me was also something I could wear with a pair of chinos or wool pants to work, and with jeans on the weekend. This does it. The leather is thick. The construction sturdy. The styling though is versatile, with color that pops outside in the sun, and turns off when in-doors. If I had to choose a size again I would go 1/2 size down. The boots felt perfect at first but as they broke in I realized there is too much space. Thicker socks and a tight lace helps. At the same time the upper also appears at first to stand tall over the foot. With break in, it has started to flatten out somewhat and with time I think it will continue to relax. With a couple months of occasional wear the boot is already comfortable enough to wear all day long. If you're looking for something that can easily transition between home and office, outside and inside, this could be it.
