STYLE NO. 3365 : Iron Ranger

This lightweight, comfortable and tough Iron Ranger is built specifically for women. Features include Goodyear welt construction, nickel hardware, a Vibram® 430 Mini-lug sole for added traction, and premium, Red Wing Amber Harness leather.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

The early history of iron mining on Minnesota’s Mesabi Range is intertwined with that of Red Wing Shoe Company. The miners needed tough but comfortable boots that could stand up to the long days and tough conditions a northern Minnesota mine pit presented. Red Wing responded with a boot made of thick leather with an oil resisting outer sole, speed lacing hooks, and a comfortable cork midsole. The defining characteristic of these boots though, was their double layered toe, capped to protect the miner’s feet from injury as they labored with hand tools and heavy machinery. That boot is still made today, the fittingly named Iron Ranger, and it represents not only Red Wing’s commitment to making boots for working men and women but also its Minnesota origins.

Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather. Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for Oil-Tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.

STYLE NO. 3365 : Iron Ranger

A new pair of Red Wing Women's Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. The full grain leather upper, leather covered foam footboard and cork filler create an enduring and customized fit over time, with each wear.

The 3365 is built using the No. 106 Last:

  • Based on one of our oldest lasts, the no. 8 last
  • Slightly modified for a better fit and sleeker feel for women
  • Timeless round toe shape gives the character to many of our most popular boots

PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THESE!!!!!! I just bought these boots yesterday and am already compelled to write a review! I have been eyeing these babies for a while but the price was the hitch. I walked into my local shoe store the other day and found them on the shelf!!! I fell in love. These shoes are impeccably made and fit like a glove. They are so cute, make my foot look small (huge plus) and are so so so comfortable. I am so happy to have these and hope that Red Wing keeps making women's boots. I think its time that we all payed a little more for quality, made in the U.S.A goods. Its just worth it! Thanks you Red Wing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vintage style and durability! I LOVE these boots! I have some original 1930s boots that I've wanted to replace with a modern version, and these are some of the only boots I've seen that compare in durability and design. They're super hardy, and I love the classic style! Boots like these will always be in vogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Craftsmanship, quality and comfort! The boots I've been dreaming someone would make are now on my feet! These are incredibly well made boots. The leather is the perfect thickness- strong and comfortable. I haven't wanted to take them off since I put them on. They are molding to my feet the more I wear them; they feel as if they were custom made. I wear size 8 almost always and I purchased these in a size 8. They fit like a glove, hugging my feet without being claustrophobic. The sole is has the perfect amount of grip. They don't just feel great, though. These are some beautiful boots. I'm going to wear these with everything- dresses, jeans and everything in between. I know that I'll be resoling these when the bottoms wear out because they are made to last. Thank you, Red Wing, for making shoes for women. I'm thrilled with them. They are going to be worth every penny because I will be wearing them all the time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! I had always wanted to try out Red Wing boots, and I'm so glad I did. I am usually a 9.5 and that's the size I took in these. They fit like a dream! My first day wearing them was on a day of layovers and walking around airports and barely had a blister. Three weeks later and they feel like a baseball glove, slowly molding to my feet. I know I'll have these forever, and I will definitely be purchasing more Red Wing products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I bought these boots at the headquarters in Red Wing. We visited the store while daytripping in the area for a hike, and I tried these on as a lark. I never would have considered buying $300 boots. As soon as I put them on, I was floored. They fit like a second skin and felt custom made for my feet. I'm still amazed that I bought them but I feel like I can justify it because I have a lot of foot issues so comfortable shoes are key AND I'll probably have these for the rest of my life. The salesperson stressed that they should "fit like a glove", comfortable but close, and that they'll loosen up as I wear them in. I wear either an 8.5 or 8 in shoes and got these in an 8.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boots I'll ever own! I just purchased a pair at a local store & they are absolutely perfect! The craftsmanship is incredible and they quality is amazing. They are the best boots I own! Worth every penny. I'm usually a size 8.5 or 9 and went with the 8.5.
