STYLE NO. 9431 : Williston Oxford
The 9431 Williston Oxford is made with Black Featherstone leather from our S.B. Foot Tannery in Red Wing, Minnesota. After construction, the boot is finished at Plant 2 to add a distinctive high luster. A three-quarter Goodyear welt and Puritan triple-stitch construction provide years of durability, and a premium Gro-Cord outsole adds a work-inspired foundation for reliable traction across surfaces.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
We’ve been making oxfords since the 1930s. The Williston Oxford draws on this rich history, with traditional construction techniques blending with modern updates to create a truly timeless oxford.
Full finished leathers have a smooth, polished surface that enhances the natural beauty of the leather.
Smooth-finished leathers have a polished surface that enhances the true beauty and quality of the leather. Only the most premium, top-quality hides are used to craft smooth-finished leathers. The result is a beautiful, classic-looking leather used to build more elegant styles, such as the Red Wing Heritage Beckman Collection. The polished look and feel of the smooth-finished leather requires more specialized care and attention to keep it maintained.
Black Featherstone Leather
In order to build a Red Wing boot to an exact size and width, the boot is constructed around a shoe last.
STYLE NO. 9431 : Williston Oxford
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the Full Grain Leather upper, Leather footboard and Cork Midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.
The 9431 is built using the No. 220 Last:
A true-fit dress last created specifically for the Williston
Based off of our iconic 210 Postman last but with a less tapered, thinned out toe profile
A thinner sock will make for a comfortable fit, true to size
Fits a variety of foot shapes
Protect and lengthen the life of your boots with our Made in USA, specialty care products; specifically designed to help maintain the unique qualities of Red Wing leather.
PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT
Red Wing Shoes’ sturdy soles, premium leathers, triple stitching and Goodyear welt construction all work together to make quality boots that will last a lifetime. It takes more than 230 steps to handcraft each pair of Red Wing Shoes but it only takes three steps to keep them clean, conditioned and protected.

Sucks to writeI've been an avid, and very very vocal supporter of red wings for a very long time. When I got a new job, and I knew I needed a nice, dependable pair of shoes, I didn't even hesitate when I found out these existed.
I couldn't even get the internationally, I had to pay an exorbitant amount of shipping to pick these up from Canada (being in Australia).
They fit great, they seem sturdy and I was really looking forward to breaking them in. But.
I'd expected FAR greater quality control for this price. The eyelets on the right shoe are misaligned, resulting in the shoe literally twisting around my foot with every step because of the difference.
Honestly, I'm not even sure what to think now. I thought Red Wings was some shining beacon of craftsmanship, but this is a bad joke.
And what sucks is now it's probably too late to even return them, because the issue only became evident as it began to break in. It makes me disappointed, and sad, and almost like I've lost a friend.

AMAZING SHOESThese shoes are incredible!!! I have only been wearing them for a month and WOW! I love the shoes. Comfortable, Look Great and have provided tremendous relief with some of the challenges I have had with my right leg from wearing cheaper poorly designed shoes in the past.

Classics for lifeI bought these a couple days before a week long convention in Las Vegas. They are a full size smaller than my "regular" shoes, but still 1/2 size larger than my Iron Rangers. They are taking a bit longer to break-in than my Iron Rangers. The week of being in them 12+ hours a day gave me bruises on the top of my foot, but that was to be expected. The second week in at a desk and they are almost fully broken in. A couple of tight spots on the top to work themselves through. Cedar shoe trees on order to keep wrinkling to a minimum. I love them and lots of compliments. I am going to look at the teak 6" boots today to see if they will work nicely with a grey suit. Wish there were more colors, but that may come in time. These will hopefully be the last pair of black dress shoes I need to buy to finish my career (I have 25 years to go!)
I love old quality crafted items. Red Wing Heritage footwear goes great with my automatic watches, as well as my Vermilyea Pelle briefcase. With proper maintenance, these items will last me, and my children and future grandchildren, a lifetime.
