Our Mink Oil Conditioner is designed with mink oil, lanolin and silicone to soften and condition the leather while increasing water resistance. It was created specifically for Red Wing’s Oil-Tanned leathers including Mesa, Muleskinner, and Yuma.
We recommend testing this product on a small, inconspicuous area of your footwear, as this conditioner may darken the leather and then lighten with wear

Completely Changes Boot ColorUnlike the All Natural Leather Conditioner, there is no warning on the Mink Oil that it will turn your boots a different color. Be warned. I feel like a have ruined my boots. I had a pair of Copper Rough and Tough 6" Moc Toe boots and I loved the color but after applying the Mink Oil, they are entirely different boots. Much, much darker. It's a shame there is not a warning on this stuff. I kept hoping it was temporary and would sort of work it's way back to normal over time, but it did not. Very disappointing Red Wing.

Restored my boots to near new condition!I have a pair of [now] black leather boots that had become completely dried out from the extensive years of abuse I put them through. Over time, without taking proper care of them, they turned a sickly greenish-grey color. After putting a generous application of Red Wing Shoes Mink Oil on each boot, the leather was restored to a rick black leather color, re-hydrated, and softened.
