The Weekender Oxford is a shoe that lives at the convergence of smart style and off-the-clock comfort. Skip the break-in thanks to flexible stitchdown construction and make the most of a versatile look that’s wearable wherever the day takes you.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
The Weekender is an off-the-clock shoe that can stand up to adventure while still keeping things dialed down. The oxford and chukka styles were designed from the ground up to be light and comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks. But light doesn't mean the Weekenders are lightweights. They're made alongside our other boots at Plant 2 in Red Wing, Minnesota, with durable leather sourced from our S.B. Foot Tanning Company and a stitch-down construction that can be resoled for many years of faithful service. Weekenders let you play as hard as you work. You might even be tempted to keep them on come Monday.
Roughout leather is a reverse suede leather made in our S.B. Foot tannery.
Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede technique at our very own S.B. Foot Tanning Co. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, we simply use the other side of the hide. By doing so, we avoid splitting or thinning our full-grain hides. This makes our Roughout leather just as strong and durable as our other leathers.
Hawthorne Muleskinner Leather
In order to build a Red Wing boot to an exact size and width, the boot is constructed around a shoe last.

Nice shoe, buy eyelets are disappointingBe aware that these shoes run big. I measure 10 (left foot) and 9.5 (right foot) and D width on the brannock device. My 8111 Iron Rangers are size 9 and fit well. Bought the 3302 weekenders in size 9 as well and they fit a little tighter than my Iron Rangers but that's just good I think. Order half a size or a full size down. If you have a high instep, try the shoes before you buy them. I don't have a high instep but I can see how it could be a problem for some people, the shoes are quite low. The included comfort force footbed is great, have it in my IRs as well. Eyelets are not reinforced and will stretch really quickly (like in less than an hour). I will get mine reinforced before wearing the boots.

Great Look, Great Comfort... but Size EE-ers bewareOverall, this is an amazing buy for anyone looking for a slighlty classier alternative to wearing a boot or sneaker; perfect for a night out whether one is wearing denim or khakis. In regards to comfort, it truly is a "Weekender;" With the soft leather and a forgiving sole, one can wear this pair all day whether work or play, and not be itching to kick them off at the day's end.
However, those who have a wide foot and/or are in between sizes will have some difficulty with the sizing when purchasing and wearing these shoes. Given how the shoe's typical fit and a wider foot, in my experience it was best to buy a 1.2 size larger and make up the difference by using an additional footbed.
My main issue with the shoe is with the size of the opening or topline of the shoe; it appears to be too large. Wheareas the rest of the shoe fits snugingly well, there is some space between the ankle and the rear of the shoe's topline. This can pose to be problematic when wearing a slimmer pant with a narrower leg opening as the cuff of the pant leg gets snagged on the heel of the shoe. In my experience, I am consistently having to pull back my pant legs to ensure the pant falls over the shoe, not snagged up at the heel. I'm unsure if traditional Size D men share a similar problem, but it is significant enough for me to consider other shoe options when wearing pants of a more tailored fit.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the product, but hope the great craftsmen of Red Wing make note of this experienced issue and take it into consideration in the future. Nonetheless, I recommend these shoes and believe it makes for a great addition to any man's wardrobe.

Great look, and great quality, but definitely runs bigThey look good, and are quite comfortable, but I had to go a full size down before I got to a proper fit.

Great new release! These are absolutely fantastic! Leather is top notch and the comfort force footbed is perfect for all day walks or work. Like all red wings I've owned they break in and stretch. I went (1) full size down which is similar to my red wing boot size. (Sneaker size 11 and Redwing Boot size 10). About a week of walking and they are breaking in perfect!
