Absolutely Worth The MoneyI was skeptical. I thought about this purchase for a long time. Far too long as it turns out. The price just didn't seem reasonable to me at first. The padding didn't seem sufficient. Previous reviews weren't always stellar. BUT, then I went ahead and bought a pair anyway. And it was money well spent. They made a night and day difference in the comfort of my Iron Rangers, taking all that pressure off the balls of my feet without adding so much bulk that I couldn't get the boots on. Prior to buying these, I had tried four different well-known brands of cushion insole inserts and I regret every one of them. They were all either too fat, too stiff, or too squishy. These are just perfect. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect to keep the Red Wing leather feel as you make your boots more comfortableI have multiple Red Wing Heritage boots. Despite most of them being on the more common #8 last (Blacksmith, Rover, Sheldon, Merchant), not all of those shoes fit identically because of the shape of the boot. The Moc toe boots are based on the slightly shorter and narrower #23 last. On the #8 last, for example, the Rover has more room (height) at the front of the foot than the lower Sheldon, Williston, etc, even though the length is essentially identical. I got my boots based on the room needed for my toes, and the typically encouraged Red Wing method of making sure the ball of your foot and pinky toe match the wide portion of the boot. I needed to wear my size for the toe room, but the boot was slightly loose in height, even with thick Red Wing Merino socks. Rather than cheap foam inserts from a big box store, I tried these leather insoles. They not only look (and smell) exactly like they belong, but they fit Heritage boots like a glove and take up the needed room without crowding my toes. They also are in the spirit of the boot's design and don't add a weird rubber chemical smell as other brands often do. Yes, $40 isn't cheap, but they are high quality leather and they'll last as long as the shoes, and are a perfect way to bridge the gap if you find your shoe too roomy top to bottom, despite the right length. They also add a little more cushion if you want to wear Heritage boots all day. There is not another product like these. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

RIDICULOUSAbsolutely horrible. These insoles came in my 1907's. I'm 13 days into them and the leather just separated for the "foam" cushion underlay. You would imagine being a $307 boot. They would come with a half way decent footbed. I should have done me research and dropped another 1/2 size and threw these in the garbage from the get go... highly disappointed in the quality of redwing so for... and it's only on day number 13

Finally a 1907 boot insole replacement! These are so comfortable on my feet and they're leather like my heritage boots so that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you red wings for selling this item.
