STYLE NO. 3303 : Weekender Oxford

The 3303 is an oxford featuring Copper Rough & Tough leather, crafted with our traditional Red Wing Quality, and inspired by our tried-and-true oxford silhouettes.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

The Weekender is an off-the-clock shoe that can stand up to adventure while still keeping things dialed down. The oxford and chukka styles were designed from the ground up to be light and comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks. But light doesn't mean the Weekenders are lightweights. They're made alongside our other boots at Plant 2 in Red Wing, Minnesota, with durable leather sourced from our S.B. Foot Tanning Company and a stitch-down construction that can be resoled for many years of faithful service. Weekenders let you play as hard as you work. You might even be tempted to keep them on come Monday.

Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather. Oil-Tanned leather is a very durable and vivid leather.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for Oil-Tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.

STYLE NO. 3303 : Weekender Oxford

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes.

The 3303 is built using the No. 60 Last:

  • This new last is created for the Weekender collection, stitch down construction
  • The last is designed to have a removable footbed
  • Most customers buy Red Wing Heritage footwear 1/2 size smaller than their normal size
  • Trying on Red Wing Heritage footwear in a store is recommended to get the perfect fit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shoes! Once I turned 50 I decided that I was too old for bad shoes. This is my first pair of Red Wings. The craftsmanship is superb and the rough and tough leather is great. It's thick and durable. It seems like it will patina with age. Mine took a bit of breaking in. I did get blisters on my heels the first time I wore them. Now that the blisters have healed and they are broken in they are very comfortable. I sized down a half size. They fit snug but not tight. I wear them about 4 or 5 times per week. Mine were treated with Hubbards shoe oil as soon as I got them home. The darkened only a tiny bit. The leather just looks a bit richer and got a bit of a satin like sheen after treating. They will crease in several spots after a few times wearing them. This is normal and part of what makes them casual weekend shoes. The sole is spongy but not too spongy. It offers some bounce which makes walking and standing in these comfortable. Mine came with reinforced eyelets. I hear that metal reinforcements are standard on these now. They are not visible from the front.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Add Lace Grommets & They're Perfect Owner of 7 pairs of Red Wings; 6 pairs of which are Heritage. I bought a pair of these at the warehouse sale two years ago. They are my go-to shoe for weekend brewpub visits and days I know I won't be outside in the dirt at work. They have held up well, but the non-reinforced lace eyelets in the leather do slowly stretch out. It's not necessarily a fit issue, as this shoe is not meant to be worn tight, but it makes the shoe look less professional over time. Because of this, it will soon be relegated to weekend-wear only. My recommendation? Upgrade the design and durability w/ copper lace grommets and these will become an instant classic. (Or brass, if you have to use brass...)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Build Quality About 1.5 years of use at work everyday. Stitching still holds up strong. Sole is in fair condition and didn't wear as soon as I expected. Leather did stretch a little more than expected. Could have gone a full size down from a regular fit. Conditioned with mink bi monthly. Mostly office wear some job site activity but not super hard on them. Really comfortable. Looking to probably resole in another year. Overall a great shoe and I've enjoyed owning them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Addition to Classic Lineup This is my 2nd pair of Red Wings. I’ve owned a 6inch style 9111 boot for 7 years. I have had the Oxford for just a few weeks now and here are the main takeaways: I was measured a size 13 but I feel if they made. 12.5 it would fit best, just a little too much space in the toe. Break in time was less than my boots, but any Red Wing wearer should be aware of this and not be frustrated right away. Quality is, as always, unmatched. These feel as solidly made as my boots. The Muleskinner rough leather is new to me so I’m not sure on long term care, but at first blush it seems rugged and versatile. I love the weekender’s sole, solid support but enough cushion. I stand 10 hours a day for my job and have to dress up a bit and these shoes made the wear and tear on my joints diminish drastically the first time I wore them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t beat Red Wing Quality I have 3 pairs of Iron Rangers; two for work on our small hobby farm and one for office business casual. Been wearing for over 4 years and with basic leather care look great. Was looking for an Oxford so ordered these the normal 1 size under junk Chinese shoes and fit like a glove out of the box. Have worn to office work for 2 weeks at a standing desk; like wearing slippers. Other comments discussed lack of eyelet reinforcement but mine are blind reinforced from the inside. Don’t waste your hard earned money on anything besides Red Wings!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality and comfort The craftsmanship on these is fantastic, I usually wear size 10 in most shoes (nike/adidas) and I got these in 9, they fit perfectly. Once you break them in after a few days they feel so comfortable. I wish the eyelets were reinforced but I absolutely recommend these, a great smart casual shoe with quality you can see and feel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to love them but too frustrating This is the most frustrating pair of shoes I've ever owned. I would say that you absolutely need to try before you buy if you have a moderate to high instep. These are super flat and shallow (not much room between footbed and upper) so maybe the last just won't work for me. Normally a 11.5 so tried on the 11 in store but the associate said they were simply too long (about 1.75" past the toes) but felt ok otherwise if laced tightly. Ended up going with a 10.5 which I had to order online as was not available in store. I got the 10.5's and immediately noticed that although the length was correct and my heel was secure, the shoes were extremely snug at the top of my foot where the additional bit of tongue leather is. This began to hurt after a few minutes but I wore them a couple hours a day to break them in but no luck. Took them to the RW store and had them stretched in hopes of a roomier fit but unfortunately it didn't help much. Associate assured me that they were the right size as far as he could tell and that they'd eventually break in with wear, but they haven't. At this point I can only wear them about 1 hour at a time without my feet starting to ache which really sucks. At this point I've had them for about 1.5 months but can't seem to get them to be comfortable enough to wear and I think they've been worn too much to return. Super disappointing as I really wanted to love these. $200 to sit in the back of the closet, didn't expect this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost a home run I loved these when I just got them, but am sorry to say they're not holding up well after a few months of moderate use. The holes for the laces are really starting to stretch out because they're not reinforced at all. The soles of these shoes also soak up water like a sponge! I treat and waterproof the uppers fairly regularly but still find my feet getting soaked from the bottom up in moderately rainy weather. Although very comfortable and stylish, this is one redwing heritage product that isn't worth it's hefty pricetag.
