The 3306 is our Weekender Oxford featuring our Red Maple Muleskinner roughout leather, crafted with our traditional Red Wing Quality, and inspired by our tried-and-true oxford silhouettes.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
The Weekender is an off-the-clock shoe that can stand up to adventure while still keeping things dialed down. The oxford and chukka styles were designed from the ground up to be light and comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks. But light doesn't mean the Weekenders are lightweights. They're made alongside our other boots at Plant 2 in Red Wing, Minnesota, with durable leather sourced from our S.B. Foot Tanning Company and a stitchdown construction that can be resoled for many years of faithful service. Weekenders let you play as hard as you work. You might even be tempted to keep them on come Monday.
Roughout leather is a reverse suede leather made in our S.B. Foot tannery.
Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede technique at our very own S.B. Foot Tanning Co. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, we simply use the other side of the hide. By doing so, we avoid splitting or thinning our full-grain hides. This makes our Roughout leather just as strong and durable as our other leathers.
Red Maple Muleskinner Leather
In order to build a Red Wing boot to an exact size and width, the boot is constructed around a shoe last.
STYLE NO. 3306 : Weekender Oxford
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the Full Grain Leather upper, Leather footboard and Cork Midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.
The 3306 is built using the No. 60 Last:
This new last is created for the Weekender collection, stitch down construction
The last is designed to have a removable footbed
Most customers buy Red Wing Heritage footwear 1/2 size smaller than their normal size
Trying on Red Wing Heritage footwear in a store is recommended to get the perfect fit
Protect and lengthen the life of your boots with our Made in USA, specialty care products; specifically designed to help maintain the unique qualities of Red Wing leather.
PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT
Red Wing's sturdy soles, premium leathers, triple stitching and Goodyear welt construction all work together to make quality boots that will last a lifetime. It takes more than 230 steps to hand craft each pair of Red Wing Shoes but it only takes three steps to keep them clean, conditioned and protected.

cooper ruff weekenderI just went out today and bought a pair today and the reason mainly was because of the comfort of the sole. A week ago I purchased the Chelsea slip on with the same sole and was very impressed. I actually have a lot of faith in this sole maybe more than the crepe sole for wear. The sole design takes a bit getting used to thinking is this going to need a resole quick just because its rubber and I don't think so. Red Wing is quality handmade I am positive they know what they are doing when they do a design change or a new design and I am sure they don't and wont cut costs in the heritage collection this is why I will only buy USA made in RED WING so I have faith in this sole. This is my 14th pair of Red Wings so each pair is a forever boot so buying two pairs in a week is just an investment plus I am set for life lol USA handmade doesn't get any better then Red Wing.

My new go to spring shoePicked up my muleskinners on sale a Nordstrom. I was happy to find that my pair did. In fact, have metal eyelets which are hidden to keep the look casual but prevent the stretching that another reviewer complained about on his pair that didn't have them. I sized down the same as my iron rangers and they fit like a glove. Thinking about picking up a pair in blue...

Squeaky on tile floorsI love this more casual version of the Oxford. My biggest gripe is the terrible soles. For the price, it should be something more durable than eva and a thin layer or rubber. I've decided to take them to be resolved. I should've just gone custom.

Nice Shoes!Once I turned 50 I decided that I was too old for bad shoes. This is my first pair of Red Wings. The craftsmanship is superb and the rough and tough leather is great. It's thick and durable. It seems like it will patina with age. Mine took a bit of breaking in. I did get blisters on my heels the first time I wore them. Now that the blisters have healed and they are broken in they are very comfortable. I sized down a half size. They fit snug but not tight. I wear them about 4 or 5 times per week. Mine were treated with Hubbards shoe oil as soon as I got them home. The darkened only a tiny bit. The leather just looks a bit richer and got a bit of a satin like sheen after treating. They will crease in several spots after a few times wearing them. This is normal and part of what makes them casual weekend shoes. The sole is spongy but not too spongy. It offers some bounce which makes walking and standing in these comfortable. Mine came with reinforced eyelets. I hear that metal reinforcements are standard on these now. They are not visible from the front.

Add Lace Grommets & They're PerfectOwner of 7 pairs of Red Wings; 6 pairs of which are Heritage.
I bought a pair of these at the warehouse sale two years ago. They are my go-to shoe for weekend brewpub visits and days I know I won't be outside in the dirt at work.
They have held up well, but the non-reinforced lace eyelets in the leather do slowly stretch out. It's not necessarily a fit issue, as this shoe is not meant to be worn tight, but it makes the shoe look less professional over time. Because of this, it will soon be relegated to weekend-wear only.
My recommendation? Upgrade the design and durability w/ copper lace grommets and these will become an instant classic. (Or brass, if you have to use brass...)

Great Build QualityAbout 1.5 years of use at work everyday.
Stitching still holds up strong.
Sole is in fair condition and didn't wear as soon as I expected.
Leather did stretch a little more than expected. Could have gone a full size down from a regular fit. Conditioned with mink bi monthly. Mostly office wear some job site activity but not super hard on them.
Looking to probably resole in another year.
Overall a great shoe and I've enjoyed owning them.

Classic Addition to Classic LineupThis is my 2nd pair of Red Wings. I’ve owned a 6inch style 9111 boot for 7 years. I have had the Oxford for just a few weeks now and here are the main takeaways: I was measured a size 13 but I feel if they made. 12.5 it would fit best, just a little too much space in the toe. Break in time was less than my boots, but any Red Wing wearer should be aware of this and not be frustrated right away.
Quality is, as always, unmatched. These feel as solidly made as my boots.
The Muleskinner rough leather is new to me so I’m not sure on long term care, but at first blush it seems rugged and versatile.
I love the weekender’s sole, solid support but enough cushion. I stand 10 hours a day for my job and have to dress up a bit and these shoes made the wear and tear on my joints diminish drastically the first time I wore them.

Can’t beat Red Wing QualityI have 3 pairs of Iron Rangers; two for work on our small hobby farm and one for office business casual. Been wearing for over 4 years and with basic leather care look great. Was looking for an Oxford so ordered these the normal 1 size under junk Chinese shoes and fit like a glove out of the box. Have worn to office work for 2 weeks at a standing desk; like wearing slippers. Other comments discussed lack of eyelet reinforcement but mine are blind reinforced from the inside. Don’t waste your hard earned money on anything besides Red Wings!!
