STYLE NO. 3474 : Harriet
The 3474 Harriet is a modern take on the classic Chelsea boot showcasing a stacked leather heel, Vibram® mini-lug tap outsole, and side goring for easy on and off. A single front vamp showcases premium Pecan Boundary leather, and a three-quarter Goodyear welt for years of loyal daily wear.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
Designed for British royalty in the 1850s and popularized a century later in the Chelsea neighborhood of West London, Red Wing first offered Chelsea boots in the Australian market in the 1990s. The Harriet became our first women’s specific Chelsea boot when it was introduced to the Heritage Women’s Collection in Fall 2016.
Full finished leathers have a smooth, polished surface that enhances the natural beauty of the leather.
Smooth-Finished leathers have a polished surface that enhances the true beauty and quality of the leather. Only the most premium, top-quality hides are used to craft Smooth-Finished leathers. The result is a beautiful, classic-looking leather used to build more elegant styles, such as the Red Wing Heritage Beckman Collection. The polished look and feel of the Smooth-Finished leather requires more specialized care and attention to keep it maintained.

Great BootI bought this boot several years ago at the Red Wing store in Sheboygan, WI. They helped me get the right fit and let me know there is a break in period. My boot has a leather sole instead of the new lug sole. I wore them once a day 1 hour for 2 weeks while working around the house to break them in, this was brutal but after that they fit like a glove. They mold to your feet and are very comfortable and stable. I wear them almost every day through winter to work and going out. To this day I get regular complements on them usually from the younger ladies. I would like to purchase the lower heal this year as I am 53 years old and would like to be closer to the ground. At this time they are sold out in my size and I will have to wait until they are available. This boot is quite expensive and I had never paid they much for a pair of boots however I am glad I did. They are built to last and are a timeless style. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous boots!!I was torn between these and the Clara’s. I first bought the Clara’s and was on the fence about the laces (I don’t own anything that I can’t just slip on and off). I then ordered these and when I saw them I fell in love with zero reservations. After I tried them on it wasn’t even a debate. The Clara’s went back. These are so super comfy and fit beautifully. The leather is thick and gorgeous with top quality craftsmanship. Love the lug sole and rounded toe shape. They are a little stiff at first but I’m sure they will break in quickly. The heel height is hardly noticeable. Gives you a little lift without feeling like your wearing “a heel”. I am a totally boot snob and these surpass all of my expectations. I know they will be a go to staple in my wardrobe for many years to come. I am completely in love with these and highly recommend them.

Outstanding. In love with these.3rd pair of Red Wings; I'm a huge fan. They put all other shoes to shame in terms of quality, style, and comfort. I've always loved the simplicity of the Harriets, but they seemed slightly too close in style to my black Claras to justify. They finally won me over with the tonal heel update for a more sleek look, in addition to the new mini lug outsole for durability. Seriously, if I'm paying $400 for shoes, they need to have protective rubber half soles! The vibram soles on these are even better. Anyhoo, these are now my go-to work shoes, and I'm delighted to have something so comfy and durable that's also "office-appropriate." Will wear them happily for years of nature strolls, corporate meetings, and everything in between. Thank you Red Wing! I'll be back for the pecan version of these beauties :-)

Lovely boot, but impossible to get onI was super excited about this Chelsea boot, but I wasn’t able to keep it. It’s beautiful! I ordered my regular size, but with my high arches was unable to actually get the boot on my foot due to the narrow opening. The leather of the boot is clearly high-quality but a bit too stiff for a Chelsea. If you’re going to buy the boot, I recommend ordering at least a half size larger if you have average width and arch feet. Bummed and disappointed it didn’t work out.

I can’t even begin to describe how perfect these boots are.In a world of cheaply made products, these boots stand out from the crowd in terms of quality and craftsmanship. Not only that, but they are superbly designed. Not only do they look fantastic (literally with EVERYTHING from jeans to dresses), but they are perfectly balanced and it doesn’t hurt to wear them for hours on end, even for walking distances. Yes they cost more than a lot of boots out there and it may take a few wearings around the house before they mold to fit your foot like your favorite pair of jeans, but these beauties will last a lifetime and never go out of style or disappoint you with poor quality. Actually you are SAVING money by investing in one perfect pair that is destined to be your go-to boot for years to come.

I LOVE my Harriets!I was so excited to get these! The leather is stiff but the boot is very high quality. I wore tall, thick socks that I folded down so I had no ankle irritation. I've had boots I had to break in before, but I did have to have help with these, the store graciously helped me with that, but I'm so glad I stuck with the break-in process! The store did say that I would have to be patient with them! They are now very comfortable and I look forward to getting another pair!

Great boot overallThe boot now that it's broken in kinda still at the moment getting use to it fits great. Being that it is my first pair of red wing boots from the heritage line I expected the leather quality to be top notch and it is definitely true as in the first time you try them they will be very stiff especially in the top region of the boot. The top of the boot had to take some getting use to being that it was so stiff it started to dig into my ankle just a little but I was able to deal with it.

Beautiful but uncomfortable.Fell in love with these boots the moment I saw that there was the women's line finally available -
I bought them not long after they were released almost a year ago. I was very excited... Red Wing is known for it's quality and the price is fair for said quality. I had saved up my pennies, bought them and wore them almost daily for a couple of months. I loved them at first, ignoring some flaws - slightly too wide and the slightest slip in the heel. It wasn't enough to merit sizing down but it was still a bit noticeable. While they were more comfortable than a lot of other shoes I've tried on with stiff, thick leather, I did find them a bit heavy and I noticed after some time that no matter what socks I wore, they'd scrunch down and the top part of the shoe would brush on my ankle and it eventually left a black line from it brushing against and wearing into my skin. I kept wearing them because I really did want to love them but I found the top constantly irritating my skin. The line wouldn't go away with anything, and eventually I had to stop wearing the boots for my skin to normalize. It's now been months since I've worn them and feel like they may have been a waste of my money and have regrets over purchasing them. It's a shame because I really did want to love them because they are beautiful - just not the most practical or comfortable.
